This Privacy Policy explains how eWallet eXpert may collect, process and disclose your personal data, as well as your rights in relation to the personal data it may hold.

eWallet eXpert (including “we”, “us” or “our”) is the data controller of your personal data and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

How we collect your data

We may collect and process personal and non-personal information relating to you.

eWallet-eXpert also collects non-personal information or may anonymize personal information in order to make it non-personal. Non-personal information is information that does not enable a specific individual to be identified, either directly or indirectly. eWallet-eXpert may collect, store, use and disclose such non-personal information for any reasonable business purposes. For example, eWallet-eXpert may use aggregated marketing information for commercial purposes, such as trend analysis and obtaining insights around e-wallet adoption and usage patterns.

The information we collect

Information that we may collect as part of providing services to you includes:

i. your email address;

ii. your e-wallet account number;

iii. personal identifiers such as your IP address or our internal electronic identifiers;

iv. your e-wallet account transactional data that you voluntarily share with us where you require our assistance in certain processes relating to your e-wallet account;

v. your names and address in any documents such as bank statements, utility bills etc. that you voluntarily provide to us where you require our assistance in certain processes relating to your e-wallet account.

You are not obliged to provide us with your information where it is requested but we may be unable to provide certain services if you decide so. Shall this be the case, we will make sure that you have been informed accordingly.

Our use of your information

When processing your information, we do so in our legitimate interests as set out below, because of legal obligations that we are subject to or because the information is required in order to provide our services to you. Here are a few examples:

i. to allow you access to and use of the eWallet eXpert website;

ii. to allow you subscription to our mailing list through which we may send you content on:

a. promotions or offers we run; or
b. promotions and offers our e-wallet partners run and have specially curated for you; or
c. service updates and news that we believe are in your favor and best interest;

iii. to process your registration to any additional services we may provide at the time and subsequently administer your account;

iv. to maintain our own accounts and records;

v. to tailor our services to you;

vi. to notify you of additional services that may become available on eWallet eXpert or on websites that we or any of our associated companies might establish.

If you wish to receive future marketing, promotional or sales material from eWallet eXpert, you can opt-in for this type of communication. You may opt-out at any time, should you change your decision.

eWallet eXpert may also pass on your personal information to trusted third parties (such as the e-wallet operators) in order to obtain their assistance on your behalf. Such disclosures to trusted third parties enables us to provide you with the best user experience on our site and shall not be used for the purposes of marketing other goods or services to you. When sharing your personal data with third parties as set out in this Privacy Policy, it may be transferred outside the European Union.

We reserve the right to pass on any information to any public regulatory authority as may be required on a case by case basis.

Retention of information

We will hold your personal information in our systems for, at minimum, as long as necessary for the relevant activity or as long as is set out in any relevant agreement you enter into with us. Furthermore, we may hold your personal information in our systems for as long as we operate and are providing services.

Your Personal Information will be held on secure servers and all transactions are encrypted using secure socket layer (SSL) advanced encryption technology up to 128-bit encryption. Once we receive your data, it will be held by us on secure servers and we will use all reasonable commercial efforts to ensure its security.
